Jennifer Aniston had the “most gentle separation” with this ex and he’s not Brad Pitt.

In 2018, Aniston and Justin Theroux announced their separation. It was the second time for the “Murder Mystery” star to split her husband. Aniston married Pitt in 2000 and they divorced in 2005.

Aniston and Theroux had an amicable split. In fact, according to “The Leftovers” actor, it was the “most gentle separation.”

“The good news is that was probably the most — I’m choosing my words really carefully — it was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity,” he told The New York Times. “Again, neither one of us is dead, neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It’s more like, it’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be.”

Theroux added that it was “heartbreaking” but only in the sense that their friendship would not be the same. However, their friendship was shifting and changing and when it comes to that part, he said that they were both very proud of it.

According to a previous report, Aniston is likely to get back with Theroux compared to Pitt. Between Aniston’s two exes, Theroux is showing more signs of a potential reconciliation than Pitt.

Back in February, Theroux shared a sweet message for Aniston to celebrate her birthday. He called her a “fierce woman” who is “fiercely loving, fiercely kind and fiercely funny.” He ended his sweet message with “Love you B.”

On the other hand, Aniston confessed that she was shocked when shortly after her split from Pitt, he was photographed frolicking at the beach with Angelina Jolie and her son, Maddox. There were rumors that Pitt and Jolie had an affair while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2004 just a year before Pitt and Aniston divorced.

When Aniston was asked about the rumors that Pitt and Jolie were expecting their first baby in 2006, she cried. According to Leslie Bennetts who did a tell-all interview with Aniston at the time, Aniston looked as if she was stabbed in the heart. Aniston said that she already forgave them because she is not the type who keeps grudges.
