Is Jennifer Aniston spending time Brad Pitt's mom after she and her ex-husband reconnected? A new tabloid report is claiming that the "Friends" star has been hanging out with Jane Pitt, but there is no evidence backing this up.

The latest issue of NW claimed that Aniston has "regained her friendship with Jane" now that she and Pitt have reunited and are growing close again. A so-called insider claimed that Jane was reportedly a mother figure for Aniston, and Pitt is letting them bond again like they used to before the two Hollywood stars' divorce.

“Jane was the kind of caring and trustworthy mom Jen always wanted, but never got from her own mother,” an unnamed insider claimed in the report. “Jen and Jane shared such a bond, and now Brad’s given them the go-ahead to talk again.”

The questionable tipster further claimed that the actor asked his mom to stop communicating with Aniston after he married Angelina Jolie, However, now that Pitt and Jolie have parted ways, he is reportedly no longer concerned about what she thinks of Aniston and his mom hanging out, the source claimed.

“Jane and Jen are picking right up where they left off.” the so-called source said. “Jane simply didn’t have the same kind of relationship with Angie… and I think she always secretly hoped Brad and Jen would find their way back to each other.”

However, Aniston's rep confirmed with Gossip Cop that the tabloid's claims about the actress and Pitt's mom hanging out are complete "nonsense." While the actor did go to Aniston's lavish 50th birthday party earlier this month, Pitt hasn't encouraged his ex-wife or his mom to reignite their friendship with each other, according to Aniston's spokesperson.

This isn't the first time that NW has published bogus reports about Aniston, Pitt and Jolie. Last year, the tabloid also falsely reported that Pitt's mother wanted him to "stand up" to Jolie amid their custody battle for their six children: Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 10. However, this rumor had also been debunked.

At the moment, Jolie and Pitt are still in the middle of finalizing their divorce and the custody of their kids. The two met face-to-face in January to discuss the terms of their split, Us Weekly previously reported.
