‘Shades Of Blue’
How will Wozniak (Ray Liotta) and Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) cope with Stahl (Warren Kole) in “Shades of Blue” Season 3? NBC

Jennifer Lopez recently posted a hilarious video from the set of “Shades of Blue” Season 3.

On her Instagram Story, the actress stood behind the camera and acted as though she is part of the crew of the NBC series. Lopez is wearing her Harlee Santos costume, with her hair curled to perfection. The man taking the video joked about Lopez focusing on acting instead. He also panned the camera towards Dayo Okeniyi, who is ready to play his character, Michael Loman.

The renewal of “Shades of Blue” for a third season came as a surprise since the show hasn’t been consistent when it comes to ratings. According to TV Series Finale, the series premiered with 5.2 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating. On its second week, the ratings for “Shades of Blue” Season 2 dropped, garnering only 4.8 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating. This trend continued until episode 3, which raked in only 4 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating.

Luckily, things picked up following Season 2, episode 4, when the series received 4.3 million viewers and a 0.8 demo rating. The lowest recorded ratings for Season 2 took place following the show’s penultimate episode. “Shades of Blue” wrapped up the second season with only 4.1 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating.

Meanwhile, Harlee made bold and surprising moves in Season 2, episode 13. Prior to the airing of “Broken Dolls,” executive producer Jack Orman said Harlee’s life will be turned upside down, and these shocking twists will open new storylines for Season 3. “We will have to be worried about Harlee and Wozniak,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

In Season 2, episode 13, Harlee was kidnapped by Stahl (Warren Kole) after the latter found out what really happened to Miguel (Antonio Jaramillo). Harlee killed the father of her daughter in the finale episode for Season 1, but kept it a secret. Stahl later on found out about what she did and confirmed it when he saw Miguel’s deceased body. Stahl illegally detained Harlee in the Season 2 finale, but the lead character was able to escape from her prison.

“Shades of Blue” Season 3 will premiere on NBC sometime next year.
