Moneyball actor Jonah Hill has been sporting a more svelte look following his weight loss, and the actor told ABC that Japanese food was the secret to shedding the pounds.

Before the actor revealed that he slimmed down on sushi, many believed that his Moneyball co-star Brad Pitt had something to do with Hill's new leaner look.

It was just mostly diet, Hill said. I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something, but it was, unfortunately, I went to see a nutritionist, and he told me what to eat to change my habits and stuff... I found that Japanese food was very helpful to me.

Hill also said he had a moment in his life where he said he wanted to become a man. And that means with my career, with my life and that also means with my health.

I'm almost 30 years old - I'm not a foul-mouthed 17-year-old kid who's trying to get laid, Hill said. I'm an adult man who takes his work really seriously. I'm an actor, I'm not a comedian, I never was a comedian.

Hill has appeared in comedies such as Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek. One of his most serious roles was playing a Yale-educated statistics nerd Peter Brand in Moneyball.
