Following Kanye West's announcement that he plans on running for president in the 2020 election, many have wondered what his potential campaign could look like and who could become his running mate. Now, a new comment made from a well-known personality might indicate who the "Stronger" rapper's vice president could be.

During a recent trip to Starbucks in Westlake Village, California, TMZ caught up with Caitlyn Jenner and asked her about West's political career.

When questioned by the Harvey Levin-founded publication if she would vote for him over President Donald Trump or presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, Jenner stated that she actually already texted the Yeezy designer about being his running mate.

While it appears that Jenner's remark could have been a joke, West has made moves towards officially entering the presidential race that should be taken seriously. As stated by the publication, the musician filed new documents on Thursday with the Federal Election Commission that revealed he had "spent or raised over $5,000 in campaign-related expenses." As a result, this officially elevated him to "candidacy status under the federal campaign law."

The recent move followed West's previous efforts, which included filing legal documents in order to get on the ballot in Oklahoma. However, as he missed the filing deadline in Florida, he will not be able to face off against any opponents in the battleground state.

Prior to the new discussion about his potential choice for VP, Ye also reportedly encountered other hurdles regarding his presidential campaign. A previous report indicated that since he had waited so long to enter the race for the White House, he could have to take an alternate route in order to become an official candidate, which could eventually present "major obstacles."
