Kate Middleton always makes sure to pack a particular item when traveling with her kids.

According to Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, the Duchess of Cambridge always brings food for her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, when they travel together. During a trip to the Royal Society of Medicine earlier this year, prior to the birth of Prince Louis, a container filled with snacks was spotted on the car seat armrest behind Middleton.

It is believed that Middleton does this to keep her children going during long state visits and appearances. The royal mom-of-three revealed earlier that Prince George and Princess Charlotte love Italian food, including pizza and pasta.

For most trips, the 5-year-old and 3-year-old royals have been well-behaved. However, there were also times when they threw tantrums.

In 2016, the then-family of four visited Canada. Prince George was only 3 at the time, while Princess Charlotte was 17 months old. According to the Duke of Cambridge, the most interesting part was the jet lag after returning from the trip.

Prince William said he was very proud of his kids as they had been on their best behavior. He added that it was “nice to take the children with us.”

However, when Prince William and Middleton traveled to India in the same year, they opted not to bring their kids along. Middleton revealed that they didn’t bring Prince George because he was “too naughty.” Middleton added that she was sure her eldest son would be running around if they had brought him. However, she promised that they would bring their children along when they would return to the country in the future.

Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted a Christmas party in Kensington Palace. The event aimed to celebrate Christmas with the families of the Royal Air Force personnel who will be separated from each other this holiday. Over 200 spouses, children and parents were present. They enjoyed a day of activities that included truffle-making, Christmas card decorating and party games.

The second-in-line to the throne was asked why they didn’t bring their kids along to the event. According to Prince William, they chose to leave Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at home as they couldn’t look after their kids while hosting.
