Kate Middleton is keeping order at home with Prince William and their kids, expert says.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in isolation in Norfolk with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. On Friday (April 17), Middleton and Prince William did a video call with “BC Breakfast.”

During the royals’ virtual appearance on the show, Middleton spoke on how they are isolating at home. The royal mother of three said that kids surprised her because they are aware of what’s happening. She admitted that she didn’t want to scare them and make it too overwhelming but recognized that it is just “appropriate to acknowledge it in the simple ways and age appropriate ways.”

Body language expert Judi James examined their gestures. According to James, from the looks of things, Middleton is managing their home well.

“Their lock-down body language signals suggest a relaxed but strongly like-minded approach and there are no signs of the kind of irritation or tetchiness with one another that a lot of couples are coping with right now,” James told Express.

“Kate’s pursed lips hint she might have been keeping order with William and the kids now and again but overall they look like a well-honed team.”

She also noted how Prince William’s action showed that he respects his partner. The future king didn’t mind that his wife was taking the reigns during the interview.

“William’s focused frown and his small nods suggest an air of respect as his wife speaks as well as agreement with her words,” James continued.

“He swallows a couple of times to prep for his own input, but there is no interrupting or overlapping, suggesting he is now totally relaxed about the woman who has previously taken a more passive role in public taking over the lead role here. He also places a hand to his face a couple of times in a partial cut-off gesture with his finger over his lips to suggest he’s happy to see his wife take part control.”

In the same interview, Middleton shared that she felt “very mean” to her kids because she kept on homeschooling them even during holidays. She added that their activities at home include cooking and baking.

Meanwhile, James also commented on Middleton’s first public speech as a royal. The expert said it angered her because it was “over-coached.”
