They’re already parents of three children, but that doesn’t mean Kate Middleton isn’t ready to welcome at least one more child to the brood she shares with Prince William.

Speculation has been rampant for months that the Duchess of Cambridge could potentially announce a pregnancy at some point in 2019, and while that hasn’t yet happened, it doesn’t mean she isn’t considering having a fourth child. According to Metro UK, she is even willing to go through the same issues she experienced with hyperemesis gravidarum one last time.

“Catherine would like another baby,” sources said. “She loves children and is prepared to put herself through another pregnancy even though they have been complicated by severe morning sickness in the past.”

Middleton suffered from the extreme form of morning sickness during her pregnancies with Prince George (who was born in 2013), Princess Charlotte (who was born in 2015) and even Prince Louis (born 2018), and was actually hospitalized due to the condition during her first pregnancy. However, she better managed the symptoms during her next two, meaning the condition may not be as scary for her if she does welcome a fourth child.

The publication notes that it is unclear how Prince William feels about having a fourth child, but the fact that Middleton may want one does come at an interesting time for the couple, who have been continually plagued by rumors that the Duke of Cambridge cheated on his wife during her last pregnancy with her former friend, Rose Hanbury.

Reports began to surface in April that Middleton ended her friendship with Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, who was the couple’s neighbor in Norfolk, and that she even ordered her husband to “phase” her out of their inner circle.

It then was reported by In Touch Magazine that the phase-out may have happened due to reports that Hanbury and William had engaged in an affair, though Middleton allegedly confronted her husband about and he simply “laughed” off the concern.

The palace never explicitly confirmed or denied the rumors, though legal action was taken to prevent the story from being circulated even more widely. Since then, it has still seemed as though the alleged rumors are unlikely to be true.
