Kate Middleton and Prince William are set to embark on their first royal tour outside of England since the birth of Princess Charlotte. The royal couple will visit India and Bhutan together this spring and is expected to retrace the footsteps taken by other royals, including the late Princess Diana.

Although the upcoming travel itinerary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has not been shared, royal watchers are anticipating that Princess Kate and Prince William would also visit India’s iconic Taj Mahal and hopefully re-create the late Princess Diana’s famous photo taken at the said landmark, Us Weekly reported.

In 1992, Princess Diana was photographed sitting alone on a bench with the Taj Mahal as her background. According to Us Weekly, the stone bench has been known as Princess Di’s chair. Prince William and Prince Harry’s beloved mother was alone when she visited Taj Mahal, although Prince Charles was also on the trip he was attending a business leaders’ forum at that time.

The royal couple’s upcoming tour was also highlighted by a recent Kensington Palace Instagram post which indicated that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, including Prince Harry who will visit Nepal, are already “looking forward” to their respective spring trips.

“The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry are very much looking forward to their official tours this spring where they will follow in the footsteps of previous generations of their family,” stated an Instagram message from the Kensington Palace. Also included in the post is a collage of photos which showed previous visits of royals including the late Princess Diana.

The royal tour is just one of the events in store for the royal family of four this 2016. Princess Kate and Prince William will be celebrating Princess Charlotte’s first birthday on May 2, while Prince George will turn 3 years old on July 22. The royal couple will also be celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary on April 29.

The royal family recently celebrated Princess Kate’s 34th birthday on Jan. 9.
