Kate Middleton might be a social climber like Meghan Markle, according to one royal expert.

Royal commentator Elaine Lui issued scathing statements about the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex. The expert pointed out that if there are social climbers in the royal family, it’s not just Markle. She also cited reasons why Prince William’s wife is just like Prince Harry’s spouse in that matter.

“Kate Middleton met Prince William at St Andrews University – she was not supposed to go to St Andrews University – when Prince William announced he was going to St Andrews University, she changed schools,” Lui said.

She added that Middleton changed her submission and school like many other young women when they learned that Prince William was going to St. Andrews. They applied to the university for the second in line to the throne.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met at St. Andrews. They became close friends before they began dating. Prior to that, Middleton was educated at Marlborough College in Wiltshire before she relocated to Scotland for a Master of Arts in History of the Arts.

“There she got her way into Prince William’s circle – that’s also what we would call social climbing and networking,” Lui continued.

“Then she became his girlfriend and you don’t hear about Kate Middleton hanging out with any of her old friends. They only hang out with royal people, like aristocrats. That’s what royal people do.”

Middleton had also earned a number of critics when she joined the royal family. Shortly after she was recognized as the “royal girlfriend,” she was so desperate to please the royal family that she agreed to go deer stalking with Prince Charles.

She was even photographed in a camouflage gear bagging her “first kill.” However, Middleton’s move sparked a huge controversy among anti-blood campaigners who deemed it “ shocking and abhorrent.” According to the spokesman of the campaign group People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), her decision to endear herself to the royal family would not do her any favor.

Unlike Middleton, Markle is an animal rights advocate. In fact, she reportedly advised Prince Harry not to continue hunting. The Duke of Sussex is a keen hunter but skipped the Boxing Day shoot for the first time in December 2017 so as not to upset his then-fiancée and now wife.
