Kathryn Kalikow, daughter of former New York Post owner and multimillionaire Peter Kalikow, has been arrested after attempting to set up a heroin deal on Craigslist.

The 27-year-old heiress was arrested along with her boyfriend, 28-year-old Brian Whalen, after selling heroin to an undercover New York City police officer. According to the New York Daily News, the couple used a Craigslist ad to set up the deal.

“High quality diesel pain relief available. Discreet & professional. No games; will only reply to likeminded individuals,” read the ad, according to court documents. The listing went on to provide several nicknames for the illicit drug, including "stamps, H train, dope, bundlers, tickets, dog food."

The undercover officer noticed Kalikow’s Craigslist ad and contacted her, attempting to set up a deal. According to local authorities, the couple responded with a text message. “It’ll be $400 and an extra $40 to deliver it,” they wrote.

According to a report by the New York Post, Whalen and Kalikow arrived at a predetermined meeting place, where they sat in a blue Volkwagen. The couple then exited the vehicle, standing outside a restaurant until Whalen returned to the car.

When approached by an undercover cop, Whalen stated, “I’m meeting someone here, but I don’t have anything,” according to court documents. A second officer approached Kalikow and solicited the drugs, prompting her to hand him three plastic bags filled with 10 smaller bags of heroin each, court papers said.

The officers placed both Kalikow and Whalen under arrest. Both parties were arraigned in the Bronx on Monday and have pleaded not guilty to the drug charges. The drug-dealing couple was caught with more than 30 bags of heroin.

Court documents state that Whalen has taken full responsibility for the Craigslist ad. "I need treatment. I am a heroin addict, and to afford the drugs I agreed to sell some of the drug on consignment from the person I buy from,” he reportedly said.

According to the Associated Press, Kalikow and Whalen began dating while attending Vassar College together. Kalikow’s father, Peter, owned the New York Post from 1988 to 1994, and is also a former Port Authority commissioner. A successful real estate mogul, his fortune was once valued at as much as $500 million, the Daily News reports.

Kalikow and his wife, Mary, released a brief statement addressing their daughter’s arrest on Monday. “Mary and I are very concerned, and all we are concentrating on now is helping our daughter,” read the statement.
