Katy Perry and Russell Brand have refuted rumors of their split-up. They both took to twitter to deny the news and Katy Perry called it ‘tabloid trash’.

Katy Perry tweeted: “Just cause we don’t flaunt our relationship doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with. Privacy is our luxury. #tabloidtrash #gossipisgross.”

Russell also tweeted in support of his wife’s message, “You tell em Mrs Brand! The comedian-turned-actor added: In Britain we’re currently dismantling the scum media so I’m not tuned in to their brain-farting.

Just eight months into their marriage, reports started appearing that the two were having difficulties in their marriage and were on a trial separation. A hectic work schedule was cited as the main reason. There were reports of third party involvements too, reports Metro.

Katy is currently on her California Dream World tour and Russell is busy filming Rock Of Ages in Miami. In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine earlier this year, Katy insisted she trusts her husband implicitly, despite his lothario past.

In an interview on Piers Morgan’s show, Life Stories, Russell Brand claimed that it was daunting to stay faithful to one person for the rest of his life. He said he takes it ‘one step at a time’ just like drugs and alcohol.

Katy Perry, 26, and Russell Brand, 36, met in 2009 and after a whirlwind romance got married in October 2010 in a colourful ceremony in India.
