After having a fruitful career in Hollywood as an actor, Keanu Reeves is taking a step into a new direction by writing an upcoming comic book series called “BRZRKR.”

According to CNN, the 55-year-old actor is teaming up Matt Kindt, a New York Times best-selling graphic novelist, to create a 12-issue comic book series. The comic book, entitled “BRZRKR,” will chronicle the journey of a vicious demigod who has been wandering the planet Earth to find the answers to the questions about his existence.

The synopsis of the series states that the character Berzerker works for the U.S. government to “fight the battles” that are too dangerous for anyone else.

In a statement obtained by the media outlet, the “John Wick” star shared that he has been a comic book fan since childhood, so working with Kindt and others is a “dream come true” for him.

“I have loved comics since I was a young kid and they have been a significant influence on me artistically,” CNN quoted Reeves, as saying.

Meanwhile, Kindt who has worked on various big comics like “Justice League of America” and “Spider-Man,” explained that the upcoming comic book series would be a “cocktail” of everything they love. The series would deal with topics like spirituality and history and would also feature a lot of action sequences.

Apart from Kindt and Reeves, artists like Alessandro Vitti, Bill Crabtree, and Clem Robins are also attached to the project.

The first part of the series will be released on October 7.

Reeves is currently getting himself ready for the upcoming “Matrix” movie. The “Speed” star recently shared that the “wonderful story” written by filmmaker Lana Wachowski encouraged him to come back for the fourth movie in the highly successful franchise.

The “John Wick” star will be reprising the role of Neo in the upcoming movie and will team up with the Wachowskis (Lana and Lilly Wachowski) for the first time in more than 18 years.

“Lana Wachowski wrote a beautiful script and a wonderful story that resonated with me. That is the only reason to do it. To work with her again is just amazing. It has been really special, and the story has, I think some meaningful things to say, and that we can take some nourishment from,” Reeves said in an interview with Empire.

As of late, no release date has been given to the fourth installment in the series.
