Rare vintage footage of a Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love duet has surfaced online, after some of the former couple's home videos were released in the documentary, Hit so Hard.

The documentary is about the former Hole drummer Patty Schemel, but features vintage footage of Cobain and Love's acoustic version of the unreleased duet, Stinking Of You.

The video also features the former couple's younger daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, who is seen playing with her dad and wondering around carefree.

Hole guitarist, Eric Eriandson told Fuse TV that Cobain has been working on a solo album before his death. He was headed in a direction that was really cool, he said. It would have been his White Album. That's really what he was going towards, a solo album but working with different people ... I was really excited about some of the stuff he was working on. I got to see him play it in front of me. That's why I was really sad when he died. He was cut short. Who knows where this music would have gone? He added

Stinking Of You would have likely been released in the solo album if Cobain had the opportunity to finish it.

In the years leading up to his death, Cobain struggled with heroin addiction and depression. It is thought that the pressures of maintaining his public image and his personal issues with his wife, led to his suicide on April 8 1994. The singer-songwriter sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
