Lady Gaga is officially off the market. To be exact, she’s hasn’t been single for a couple of weeks now because she actually got engaged to boyfriend Christian Carino over the summer.

On Wednesday, a source familiar with the matter disclosed to Us Weekly that the Grammy-winning songstress and the CAA talent agent got engaged this past summer. Carino reportedly asked permission to Gaga’s father before he popped the question to the Hollywood star.

Unfortunately, the couple won’t be walking the aisle anytime soon. For now, they are more focused on Gaga’s recovery from fibromyalgia — a chronic disorder that affects the muscles and soft tissue and is characterized by chronic muscle pain, fatigue and mood issues.

In September, Gaga canceled her European tour after experiencing severe physical pain. At the time, she took to social media to explain that her health struggles are keeping her from living a normal life. “They are also keeping me from what I love the most in the world: performing for my fans,” she wrote on Instagram.

In spite of what she’s going through, Gaga has managed to find love and enjoy being in love. In February, it was revealed that the actress-singer was sharing a romantic relationship with Carino. The two were even spotted kissing prior to Gaga’s Super Bowl LI halftime show performance in Houston, Texas.

It wasn’t clear why Gaga and Carino’s engagement was kept under wraps for a couple of weeks, but Bravo says it could have been kept secret since Mother Monster just announced the postponement of the European leg of her tour at the time. She was also seriously battling health issues back then, so she and Carino may have opted to pay attention to those first instead of announcing their engagement.

Bravo also surmised that the Gaga’s correlation of professional successes with personal losses may have hampered the engagement news. “I can’t help but realize that when I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt [Williams], I sold 30 million, I lose Luc [Carl]. I get the movie [“A Star Is Born”], I lose Taylor [Kinney]. It’s like a turnover,” Gaga revealed this in her Netflix documentary “Gaga: Five Foot Two.”
