  • Mike Majlak says he made $13,500 from the video announcing his split from Lana Rhoades
  • He insists that the breakup video "was not for views" and admits it was "premature"
  • Majlak and Rhoades reconciled just a week after he made the announcement

Lana Rhoades and Mike Majlak's brief split netted the latter over $10,000, according to the YouTube personality.

Majlak released a video on his YouTube channel in late October to announce that he had parted ways with the former porn star after 10 months of dating, though they got back together in a week. He revealed Sunday how much the breakup video, which has been viewed over 4.2 million times and is his most-watched upload in recent times, has earned him in the two weeks it has been up.

Responding to one person's tweet asking how much money he made from the video, Majlak gave the exact figure. "$13,535.30," he wrote.

One fan praised Majlak for being honest and open to his subscribers, adding that it makes him respect the YouTuber more.

However, Rhoades' boyfriend made it clear that views weren't the goal when he uploaded the breakup video. Majlak also admitted that breaking up with his girlfriend and making that announcement had been a "stupid" mistake.

"Lmfao everyone who actually watches knows it wasn’t for views. I have [150 million] views this year [I don't care about 4 million] more. It was premature and a stupid mistake. I’ll own up on that," Majlak tweeted.

The netizen who asked about Majlak's earnings later said she was just joking after Majlak responded to the question. His fans, however, just laughed it off.

"Gotta love the old back peddle when someone actually replies to your comment," one commented.

"You just didn’t expect him to reply admit it," another added.

"Lmao. Why is every hater like this? Haters are just confused fans lol," a third Twitter user wrote.

"Bet she didn't see that coming, you're a real one," another fan commented, praising Majlak.

Another fan gave some suggestions on how Majlak could use the money he earned from the video such as buying Rhoades a present or taking the ex-porn star out on a date.

In the breakup video he shared on Oct. 31, Majlak said that he and Rhoades decided to call it quits because they wanted different things in a relationship. He claimed she wanted to purchase a home and live together, but he wasn’t ready for it and couldn’t see himself settling down at the time.

Just a week later, however, he confirmed that they were back together when Rhoades appeared on his Twitch stream. He told viewers that he was to blame for the breakup, explaining that he rushed his decision.

"Boys make really, like, sudden decisions sometimes," Majlak said. "I rushed on some s--t and… I suck. I suck. I don’t know how else to put. I suck as a person, but here we are. We’re back… and it’s hard to explain that on a f-----g stream."
