“The Last Kingdom” Season 4 has released new behind-the-scenes photos from the series' production sets. The pictures tease the costumes and some of the locations of the show, along with a new look of the protagonist Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon).

Uhtred has always been called a man from Bebbanburg, but a photo from the production set that has been shared on Instagram refers to the character as Lord of Bebbanburg. With a new costume and a new hairstyle, the warrior will be heading back to Bebbanburg in Season 4 to rule the lands that belong to him.

There will be new battles to fight in the next season, as the behind-the-scenes post promises Uhtred will be “causing a stir” again on the show.

One character that may cause the warrior some trouble in the next season is Aelswith (Eliza Butterworth). Aelswith has never liked Uhtred, and now that she has the added responsibility to take a more active part in securing the kingdom and the reign of the new king, she may be even more cautious towards Uhtred.

Another behind-the-scenes picture of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 shows Aelswith in the dressing room. Apart from the new costume and hairstyle, the character will also get some jewelry this time around. Readers should note that she has some graying hair, but she appears to be in good health, as opposed to the ailing late king who was almost always sick.

Another big female character who will returning on the show is Brida (Emily Cox). A behind-the-scenes picture of the character shows her riding a horse, wielding a small axe. Cox revealed that it is actually her stunt double in the shot, and she assured the fans that both she and the stunt double are “ready to kill.”

Production of “The Last Kingdom” Season 4 has been ongoing for a while now. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date, but the fans can look forward to more behind-the-scenes updates in the coming weeks.
