Rachel Keller as Syd
Syd (Rachel Keller) notices a mysterious door in one of the halls of Clockworks in the preview clip for Season 1, episode 6 of “Legion.” Could that door be her way out of David’s (Dan Stevens) mind? FX

It looks like Syd (Rachel Keller) and the rest of Team Summerland are going to be stuck in David’s mind for quite a while.

At the end of last night’s episode of “Legion,” Syd, Melanie (Jean Smart), Ptonomy (Jeremie Harris), Cary (Bill Irwin), Kerry (Amber Midthunder) and Rudy (Brad Mann) as well as Division Three’s The Eye (Mackenzie Gray) become patients in Clockworks with Lenny (Aubrey Plaza) acting as their therapist. But since the team knows that they aren’t really in Clockworks but in David’s mind, it seems that they are going to have a hard time finding their way out.

In the preview clip for next week’s Season 1, episode 6, Syd notices a mysterious door in one of the halls of Clockworks. “Have you guys noticed the door in the hall?” she asks Cary and Kerry. “It’s not always there. … How can a door be there and not be there at the same time?”

Could that door be their way out of David’s mind? Or is The Eye correct when he seems to tell Syd that she “can run but there’s just no place to go”?

In a recent interview with A.V. Club, series star Katie Aselton — who plays David’s adoptive sister Amy — revealed that episode 6 will explore more of Plaza’s character. “I think the best way to put it is that Amy for the next episode or two is there, but not there,” Aselton said when asked what’s next for her character in future episodes. “[But] we get to dip into the craziness of Aubrey’s character’s reality, and where she’s at, and what she can do. I will say no more, because it is brain-boggling, but it’s awesome.”

“Legion” Season 1, episode 6 airs on Wednesday, March 15 at 10 p.m. EST on FX. Watch the preview clip below:
