Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady both recently starred in 2018 Hallmark Christmas movies — “Reunited at Christmas” and “Christmas at Pemberley Manor,” respectively — but Saturday’s premiere of “Love to the Rescue” will be their first movie on the network in 2019; And their first movie together ever.

The new Spring Fever movie’s not just about finding romantic love but also about finding love with a new pet — in this case, a rescue dog.

“Single mom Kate (DeLoach) and single dad Eric (Rady) have both promised their kids they could adopt Bruce the dog,” according to the synopsis. “So, after agreeing to joint custody for a month to determine which home will be best for Bruce, Kate is forced to face her fear of falling in love again when the handsome dad captures her unsuspecting heart.”

Directed by Steven R. Monroe and written by Sarah Montana, Hallmark’s “Love to the Rescue” also features Michaela Russell (Sophia), Max Ivutin (Owen), Amanda Ayres (Carla), Bisserat Tseggai (Nadia) and Anthony Triceri (Liam) in the cast.

Catch “Love to the Rescue” when it airs as part of Hallmark Channel’s Spring Fever event on Saturday at 8 p.m. EDT.
