“Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale has opened up about her private photos being leaked online. In a message on Twitter, the actress said she is not sorry that she took photos of herself without a top on.

“Once again, a woman in the public eye was violated, stolen from and her private life and body were exposed for anyone to see,” Hale said. “I will not apologize for living my life and having a personal life that is all mine. It’s truly unfortunate that being exposed in this way is allowed.”

The actress also thanked the people who sent her messages of support. Hale added that while what happened was bad, she found it an opportunity to see how many people are there to support her.

Prior to speaking out about the matter, Hale shared a message of thanks to her fans, saying: “I love you guys. Thanks for having my back always.”

A couple of Hale’s photos showing her bare breasts were posted on gossip site Celeb Jihad. Hale’s phone was reportedly hacked, and the photos were taken from there. The actress has reportedly sought the help of her lawyer, Marty Singer, in suing the website for releasing the photos. Despite the threat of a lawsuit, however, the people behind the site says the actress will “never silence” them, according to E! News. While they vowed to not back down and stop publishing private photos of celebrities, the people behind the site have taken down Hale’s photos and replaced them with edited ones.

Hale is the latest celebrity to have her phone hacked and her private photos released online. Among those who have had similar experiences are Gabrielle Union, Leslie Jones, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Upton, Jennifer Lawrence, Maisie Williams, Victoria Justice, Vanessa Hudgens, Justin Bieber and Troye Sivan.
