In the wake of allegations of sexual harassment against movie producer Harvey Weinstein, there have been numerous calls to call out and address rapacious behavior by men in positions of power in Hollywood.

A number of women have come forward with their horrifying experiences with the influential in the movie industry.

The latest person to detail her experience is British actress, Lysette Anthony, 54, who has claimed that she told the police that she was raped by Weinstein in the 1980s.

Anthony, who currently appears in the British soap opera "Hollyoaks," spoke to the Sunday Times on Oct. 15 and said that the experience left her feeling "disgusted and embarrassed." She also described the incident as "pathetic and revolting." The actress recalled how the movie mogul made a grab at her, at a time he was half-dressed and although she fled, Anthony claims it was then Weinstein's "predatory stalking" began, the Mirror reported.

Anthony, recalling the experience told the Sunday Times how one night when she opened the door to her house in her dressing gown, Weinstein was standing there. “He pushed me inside and rammed me up against the coat rack and started fumbling at my gown. He was trying to kiss me and shove inside me. He came over my leg like a dog and then left. It was pathetic, revolting,” she said, The Daily Mirror reported.

It was on Oct. 11 that she gathered up the courage to report the producer to the Metropolitan police. Although the police confirmed the investigation, they did not reveal Weinstein’s name.

Anthony is the latest victim to have come forward after many women including A-list actresses like Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow went public with their accusations after the New York Times and the New Yorker’s explosive publication on Oct. 5, detailing Weinstein’s misconduct of sexually harassing women over the span of decades.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, on Saturday, officially expelled Weinstein following these claims. The academy clarified their decision by revealing that they expelled Weinstein’s membership to not only separate themselves from the film producer but to also take a stand against any harassment still prevalent in the industry.

Their statement reads as follows:

"The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors met today to discuss the allegations against Harvey Weinstein and has voted well in excess of the required two-thirds majority to immediately expel him from the Academy. We do so not simply to separate ourselves from someone who does not merit the respect of his colleagues but also to send a message that the era of willful ignorance and shameful complicity in sexually predatory behavior and workplace harassment in our industry is over. What's at issue here is a deeply troubling problem that has no place in our society. The Board continues to work to establish ethical standards of conduct that all Academy members will be expected to exemplify."
