Japanese gaming titan Nintendo reportedly has big plans for the upcoming E3 2021. The company is preparing for a major Nintendo Direct in June, according to a new leak. Highlights of the upcoming events apparently include the 35th Anniversary celebration of "The Legend of Zelda" and tournaments for "Smash Bro. Ultimate" and "Splatoon 3."

The details about the major Nintendo Direct this June come from reliable industry insider Samus Hunter via Twitter. "Last week they told me that #Nintendo has big plans in store for this year, but Covid is making things difficult to organize," the insider claims." Unfortunately, due to the number of partners, I cannot confirm whether all plans will come to fruition, we will know on May 6, " the insider continues.

Furthermore, the insider shares some details about the upcoming Nintendo events. "I heard that they are trying to organize some tournaments, one of Smash and one to publicize Splatoon 3, in a couple of weeks we will find out if the project will succeed." Additionally, the insider confirms that two Nintendo events are happening. "Obviously the Treehouse events and the Direct are certain."

Many fans are looking forward to seeing "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2" at the next Nintendo Direct this year since the company did not offer any new updates about the game at last February's event. The insider does not reveal any more details if the devs would offer something about the game at the upcoming event. However, the tweet mentions that something is in-store for "Zelda" fans to celebrate its 35th anniversary in the industry.

A 4chan post regarded by others as fake a few months ago is now gaining traction from fans since most of what it revealed is accurate. The post claimed that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2" is getting a full reveal this year. Aside from that, the post also mentioned that Grezzo, the team behind "Zelda" has another "Zelda" game planned for this year.

At this point, Nintendo has not said anything about its upcoming events. As for its stand on "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2," it only noted that it would reveal more about the game soon. Like all other leaks, fans should temper their expectations and take these details with a pinch of salt.
