A Florida teen was arrested recently for allegedly raping an underage girl during a PlayStation stream. A fellow gamer allegedly overheard the entire attack.

Daniel Enrique Fabian, 18, from New Port Richey, Florida, was playing Grand Theft Auto at his house on June 28 with another online gamer on PlayStation 4 when the former told the other that he had a 15-year-old girl over at his place and that he would be taking a break from gaming to “smash” her, ABC Action News reported.

The gamer, whose name has not been revealed, told authorities that “smash” was slang for “having sex.” Fabian stopped playing for 15 minutes and proceeded to rape the young girl, the gamer alleged.

The suspect left the microphone of his PlayStation on and the gamer could hear the victim’s distressed cries. According to the witness, the girl repeated the word “no” at least four times but Fabian continued to have sexual intercourse with her regardless.

After 15 minutes, Fabian returned to resume playing the game. It was not immediately clear if the gamer was the one who first reported the incident to the authorities.

When the unidentified victim was questioned by the authorities, she claimed that Fabian had forcibly put a hand on her mouth to stop her from screaming and made her lie down on his bed while he raped her. She also said she tried to escape from his clutches multiple times but was not successful.

A Sexual Assault Victim Exam (SAVE), performed on the young girl, corroborated her account of events and a DNA test revealed a positive match to Fabian.

Fabian was arrested on Nov. 21 and charged with lewd and lascivious battery in connection to the incident. He was booked into the Land O' Lakes Detention Center and was being held on a $30,000 bail.

According to Law And Crime, no court date was set for the suspect, nor was the name of an attorney to represent him in the trial found in the prison documents.

This was not the first instance that technology had helped bring sexual predators to justice. In October, 19-year-old Isiah Dequan Hayes, from Memphis, was indicted – two years after the mother of a nine-month-old baby found a video of her child being raped and identified the man in the clip.

Hayes was reportedly seen in the video, recorded in October 2016, with his pants down, touching himself near the child. Hayes was arrested after he admitted to molesting the nine-year-old. The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office later announced that Daireus Jumare Ice, 22, who recorded the video, was also indicted along with Hayes, Miami Herald reported.
