  • Bo-Katan will be introduced in "The Mandalorian" Season 2
  • She will join Ahsoka Tano
  • The history of Mandalore is expecetd to be important for the plot

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 will be introducing a live-action version of the animation character Bo-Katan (Katee Sackoff). The character played a big role during the Clone Wars and an important leader of her people.

After lending her voice to the character in “Clone Wars” and “Rebels” animation series, Sackoff is now bringing the character to life in the first “Star Wars” live-action series. Multiple sources told SlashFilm about the casting, and the report confirms that she filmed her scenes back in February.

Bo-Katan has played a significant role in shaping the events surrounding her planet Mandalore. She was previously a part of a splinter group known as the Death Watch, which helped Maul take over the planet. Bo-Katan’s pacifist sister Satine was ruling the planet at that time. Maul’s rule was short-lived, and once again it was Sackoff’s character that helped bring him down.

The introduction of Bo-Katan is “The Mandalorian” Season 2 is important because the show has been consciously building up the lore and history of the planet. One of the issues the TV series is dealing with is establishing the different clans of the warrior people. The show has also established that being a Mandalorian is a creed and not a race.

Helping Din Djarin (Pedro Padcal) so far has been the Armorer (Emily Swallow). According to a theory by CBR, the next season may reveal the Armorer to be Bo-Katan. The evidence for this is that the mysterious character not only helps her people who are living like exiles, but she is also acting like a leader to them.

Along with Bo-Katan, the other important addition to the show this year is Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), who also has a connection to Mandalore. With the introduction of these two characters, the next season appears to be exploring the history of the planet and the events that led to its people being scattered across the galaxy. The TV series has already hinted about the Night of a Thousand Tears that is connected to Din Djarin.

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 will be released in October on Disney+. Meanwhile, the fans can watch the documentary series about the show. According to Screen Rant, the documentary series is giving the fans some fresh insights about the prequel trilogy.
