The main plot of “The Mandalorian” so far has been about the Empire wanting a baby, which Pedro Pascal’s character has promised to deliver to them. Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi) wants the baby alive, and it has now been revealed why he may be so keen on it and what he will do with the infant.

The following article contains spoilers of “The Mandalorian” TV series.

Dr. Pershing had a very brief appearance on the show, but the fans were quick to notice that he wears the same logo patch on his shoulder as the cloners on the planet Kamino who were responsible for the creation of the Clone Army.

According to Making Star Wars, Dr. Pershing may be interested in using the genetic material of the baby to create new clones or weaponize it in some way. The baby belongs to the same alien species as Jedi Master Yoda, and it has the ability to use the Force. The species also ages very slowly, which should come in handy if they want to create a new army.

What can the fans expect in the upcoming episodes? According to Making Star Wars there has been a rumor circulating online that Ewan McGregor will be reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi on the live action “Star Wars” TV series. The Jedi is said to be a part of the bounty hunter’s past.

The show has already given the fans glimpses of the gunfighter’s past in one of the scenes, but more may be revealed as the season progresses. The character was saved as a kid during what appears to be the Clone Wars era, and Obi-Wan may have been the one who saved the bounty hunter when he was a kid.

The producers and the cast spoke about the TV series in a panel discussion that has been released online. Jon Favreau revealed that the fans will get to see the beautiful art work they created for the show at the end of each episode.

The next episode of “The Mandalorian” will be released on Disney+ streaming service on Nov. 22.
