Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man may appear in the upcoming Marvel movie, "Morbius," or at least that's what fans are hoping. Since the movie's release date has been pushed to April 1 instead of Jan. 28, there have been speculations of Marvel needing the time to add Garfield's Spider-Man in the movie after his highly-praised appearance in "Spider-Man: No Way Home."

"I don't want to get my hopes built up, but with the success/positive reception that Andrew Garfield got from NWH," a fan wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "Maybe he could show up in Morbius. That could be one of the reasons for the delay."

Another fan agreed and shared a theory of how Horizon Labs can show Garfield's cameo in the post-credit scenes.

"Morbius being delayed to April gives them enough time to add Andrew Garfield into the movie," another Marvel fan noted. "Morbius has been delayed to April First. After recent success of NWH i wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t a quick reshoot with Andrew Garfield," a user wrote.

Other fans also speculated that Garfield's appearance in the post-credit scene might set up his full-fledged role in "Venom 3." The second installment of the movie, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" was dropped on Oct. 1, 2021.

Moreover, a fan also shared that not only Garfield but Tobey Maguire, who first played Spider-Man in 2002, might also return to fight Morbius while Garfield fights Venom.

It will be interesting for fans to see both the Spider-Man actors return to the big screen in the same movie again.

This theory doesn’t seem unrealistic as Marvel’s other upcoming movie, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is going to explore the concept of the multiverse where characters might jump from one universe to another.

A glimpse of the same has already been shown in the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" where all the iconic villains were pulled into a different universe to fight Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. However, no official announcement regarding Spider-Man’s appearance in “Morbius” has been made as of yet.

Regarding the official updates of "Morbius," Sony Pictures shared an exclusive scene from the movie last month besides the trailer.

The movie revolves around a character, Biochemist Michael Morbius, who struggles to find a cure for his rare blood disease. However, the human experiment done on him goes wrong as he turns into a vampire.

"Morbius" stars Jared Leto in the titular role and is helmed by director Daniel Espinosa.
