Marvel Keen On Recruiting Keanu Reeves For MCU Amid 'Eternals' Casting Rumors

Marvel appears to be keen on recruiting Keanu Reeves for one of its upcoming films. In a recent interview, the president of the studio, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that they are exploring ways to bring the actor to the superhero universe they have built, but they are being cautious about how they want to do it.
Reeves star has become an internet sensation with hit movies like the “John Wick” franchise and his humble nature. Now, Marvel is keen on getting the star to join one of their upcoming films.
In an interview with Comic Book, Feige jokingly said that they have been speaking with Reeves about every film they make. The Marvel Studios boss said that he is not sure even or if the “John Wick” actor will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he emphasized the point about them trying to figure out the “right way” to bring the actor into the superhero universe.
Feige pointed out that they had to speak to Jake Gyllenhaal multiple times when they saw that he would be perfect to play Mysterio in “Spider-Man: Far from Home.” He is hoping that a similar situation will arise for Reeves, and they will have a perfect role for him as well in the future.
Some of the confirmed upcoming movies that Reeves can look at are the sequels to “Doctor Strange” and “Black Panther,” Entertainment Weekly reported. Scarlett Johansson is currently working on her standalone film about her character titled “Black Widow.” There is also the movie “The Eternals” starring Angelina Jolie.
There were rumors earlier this month about Reeves joining “The Eternals,” People reported. However, there hasn’t been any confirmation about the casting yet. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement or a credible leak to see if Reeves has indeed joined the film.
