Google will be announcing the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL on Oct. 4, but a major leak has already provided everyone with information on its pricing and color options. The Pixel  2 will be available in three colors and will start at $649, while the Pixel 2 XL will have two color options and will start selling at $849.

The Google Pixel 2

The Google Pixel 2 is going to be manufactured by HTC and will be available in kinda blue, just black and clearly white color options, according to Droid Life. The site also shared images of the three new color options of the Pixel 2, but it didn’t provide information on where it found the images.

The Pixel 2 smartphone will also have a starting price of $649 for the 64GB model. There’s also the higher-end 128GB model of the Google Pixel 2, which is said to cost $749. Pricing for the Pixel 2 matches last year’s original model. The only difference here is that the new models start at 64GB instead of 32GB.

The Google Pixel 2 XL

Droid Life also leaked photos and information on the Pixel 2 XL. The site claims that Pixel 2 XL will indeed be the official name of the Pixel XL successor. Unlike the Pixel 2, which is being manufactured by HTC, the Pixel 2 XL will be made by LG and will be available in two color options.

First, the Pixel 2 XL will have the same just black color option that’s available on the smaller Pixel 2. The second and probably most interesting color option is the black & white color, which has been dubbed as the “panda” variant. The white & black Pixel 2 XL has its upper plastic window colored black, while its bottom portion is colored white.

Like the Pixel 2, the Pixel 2 XL will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The 64GB model will cost $849, while the 128GB model will cost $949. Pricing for this model is a bit more expensive than last year’s Pixel XL which costs $749 for the 32GB model and $869 for the  128GB model.

Although the slightly higher premium price might become a burden to some, it still manages to undercut Apple’s $999 iPhone X. However, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still remain cheaper starting at $699 and $799, respectively.

Google Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL Specs

The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to share the same internals. Most recent rumors and leaks suggest that both will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. Earlier reports suggested that Google would put the slightly faster Snapdragon 836, but XDA Developer’s “extremely reliable” source says that chipset doesn’t even exist and Qualcomm has no plans of making it.

The Pixel 2 is believed to have a 5-inch display, while the Pixel 2 XL will have a 6-inch display. Aside from the different screen sizes, the two models are expected to feature different designs up front. The larger Pixel 2 XL is said to have very slim bezels, while the Pixel 2 will still have the thick top and bottom bezels from last year’s models.
