Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have placed the safety and security of their 9-month-old son, Archie, at the top of their priority list. Now, a source claimed that Archie is at a greater risk that’s why he can’t possibly go anywhere.

While speaking with New Idea, Princess Diana’s former protection officer Ken Wharfe said that Prince Harry and Markle’s security in Canada or anywhere in the world is already at risk, and they have become even more at risk because of their son.

“Archie will be protected for the rest of his life. The security that is afforded to the royal family is of such high caliber that [any incidents such as kidnapping are] unlikely,” he said.

Just recently Prince Harry and Markle left their son in Canada while they traveled to the United States to attend a brainstorming session with the professors at San Francisco’s Stanford University. The royal couple also attended a JP Morgan event earlier this month.

It is highly likely that Archie was left at home due to possible security risks.

“Archie as a royal baby will have a nanny and a nursery. He’s not going to go anywhere because it just adds to the security risk. I’m not an alarmist, but because of where they are now, they are, in my view, at greater risk,” Wharfe said.

Meanwhile, royal fans have been hoping to catch a glimpse of Archie when Prince Harry and Markle return to the United Kingdom for a series of royal engagements. But based on what Wharfe said, it is possible that Archie will stay at home.

Last month, a source told Us Weekly that Kate Middleton wants Archie to spend more time with his cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But following the Sussexes relocation from London to Canada, this seems unlikely to happen.

According to Express, Queen Elizabeth is also saddened by the fact that Archie will grow up far from his great-grandparents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, and his cousins.
