Meghan Markle might have retired from acting over a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped the Duchess of Sussex from making TV appearances. Well, it hasn’t stopped her name from making appearances, at least.

The former “Suits” actress was mentioned on NBC’s “I Feel Bad” in November, referenced on “Jeopardy!” and CBS’ “The Neighborhood” in December and, now, her name was dropped during Wednesday’s series premiere of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”

The reality competition show, which is based on a South Korean series, follows celebrities competing against each other in a singing contest…while wearing intricate costumes that mask their identities. It’s only after a competitor is kicked off the show that their true identities are revealed.

When the video clue package for the fourth contestant of the night — Unicorn — started playing, show panelist Nicole Scherzinger was deep in thought of who might be under the mask. Once the short clip ended, Unicorn made her way onto the stage and Nicole Scherzinger immediately had a thought of who she might be.

“She’s so beautiful and regal,” Scherzinger said. “Meghan Markle. It’s Meghan Markle.”

While that’s a nice compliment for the singer to give Markle, it’s very unlikely Prince Harry’s wife is under that Unicorn mask. Still, it might be fun to imagine her royal self on that stage, singing while in an elaborate costume.

Who is actually in that get-up? One contestant is eliminated every week and must reveal themselves, which means the only way to know for sure is to watch “The Masked Singer” on Wednesdays on Fox at 9 p.m. EST.
