Meghan Markle has reportedly been showing pregnancy signs long before the official announcement.

According to body language expert Judi James, when the Duchess of Sussex stepped out for her first solo charity event, she did something that hinted at her bun in the oven. However, everyone missed it and didn't see the clue.

James explained that the best clue could be seen on Sept. 20 when Markle launched her cookbook. She wore a blue coat that covered her tummy.

"The most comprehensive clues that Meghan might be pregnant came when she was launching the Grenfell cookbook," James told Express.

"Firstly there was her mother Doria, arriving from the U.S. to temporarily take Harry’s place at her daughter’s side as mothers tend to do when there's a first baby on the way, looking proud and protective and leaving a rather bashful-looking Harry following along behind," she added.

James also pointed out how Markle put an arm over her stomach. She considered this move rather revealing.

"Then there was the way that Meghan performed a very telling gesture as she walked from the car, placing an arm across her stomach area in a reflective act of protection and masking," the expert explained. "She was clearly keen to keep the pregnancy a secret but this body language give-away showed where her real focus was at the time."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused of stealing the thunder from Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank on their wedding day because the couple allegedly made the baby announcement at the event. Some deemed the move inappropriate.

"Very poor taste to announce a pregnancy at a wedding. I'm a royalist so equally adore Harry but it was just a bit rude to do that to his cousin on her special day," Ceri Louise wrote.

The speculations intensified when Sarah Ferguson posted a series of photos taken during Princess Eugenie's royal wedding just minutes after the palace announced Markle's pregnancy. One fan even urged the Duchess of York to congratulate the couple, so royal fans won't take her posts as a tirade against Prince Harry and Markle.

However, some sources claimed that Prince Harry and Markle didn't make the announcement at the royal wedding and that they already informed the senior royals ahead of Princess Eugenie's big day. Others defended the couple that if they did, they never announced it publicly during the reception but only told close family members.
