  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now fair game to the press
  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be photographed anytime, anywhere
  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be photographed arguing

Prince Harry is threatening to sue the publications that released a photo of Meghan Markle carrying their 8-month-old son, Archie, in Canada.

But according to royal expert Angela Mollard, Prince Harry and Markle’s exit from the royal family only means that they could be photographed in public without any restrictions.

On the “Royals” podcast, Mollard said that the royal family is no longer protected in England by the Royal Rota system. A new system for reporting on the royals was put in place after the death of Princess Diana.

In the past, photographers and media agencies had accreditation to attend royal events that’s why the majority of the photos showed members of the British clan in nice clothes, shaking hands with officials, and cutting ribbons.

Now that the royal family is no longer protected by the Royal Rota, Mollard said that everything is fair game. And the fact that Prince Harry and Markle are no longer official members of the royal family, they are laying themselves open to being photographed a lot more.

“I think there’s a lot more possiblity that we will see potentially a picture of them arguing or not looking at how she wants to be seen. There has to be new rules around this if they want to be protected,” she said.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex was criticized on social media after she was photographed carrying Archie in Canada. Some royal fans accused the “Suits” alum of not knowing how to carry a baby.

“Your product is not safe for children. Meghan Markle carrier is a safety hazard. The child looks distressed. The straps are around his neck. You need to put out a recall on this item. The straps are tight on his legs,” Twitter user @Rebecca25253919 said.

“Will somebody please teach her how to hold a baby. Support the neck! Can somebody teach her a basic must? Teach her to use a baby carrier while there, too,” Twitter user @rainfirecat said.
