Melania Trump continues to face backlash from her critics despite her hard work in promoting her advocacies. The First Lady of the United States was met with cheers and boos from students in middle and high schools during the Baltimore Youth Summit on Tuesday.

The wife of President Donald Trump graced the event to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic and to help educate the youth about living a life free from illegal drugs. "I know each one of you has hopes and dreams for the future, whether it is college, joining the military, or playing a sport, your future will be determined by the choices you make," Melania said. "Using drugs will only slow you down and prevent you from achieving those goals," she went on.

Netizens had mixed reactions about the recent incident. Critics suggested that Melania Trump deserved to be roasted in Baltimore after President Donald Trump labeled the city a “disgusting rat and rodent-infested mess” and claimed no human would ever want to live there.

“Honestly wishing they were a little louder,” a certain Éirinn go Brách wrote on Twitter. “Tone deaf and a hypocrite. Remember @FLOTUS also was on the birther wagon and her parents are here via chain migration which @realDonaldTrump stopped for everyone else,” another user said.

There are also some who lambasted the students who disrespected Melania Trump during the event. “Forget the slimy husband, Melania is trying to support the awareness of bullying & opioid epidemic & these kids judge her!!!? Only parroting what their parents, without acknowledging facts! Yep, this is our younger generation. No respect, no care for authorities & causes. So sad!” Sherryjane Cooke stated. “Probably get roasted for this but I think it's wrong to do this to her. Has this woman done anything bad to anyone? Not as far as I know. She's got horrible taste in men but I doubt she realized how utterly repulsive he truly is. Attack the people responsible, not her,” a fourth netizen wrote.

Meanwhile, Melania Trump accompanied President Donald Trump and Barron as they fly off to Florida from the South Lawn of the White House in Washington after the Baltimore event. The trio, then, attended a political rally, which also served as Donald’s homecoming now that he is a registered voter in the Sunshine State. The family plans to spend the holiday at Mar-a-Lago.
