Melania Trump did not suspect Roger Stone of leaking her nude photos despite Kate Bennett’s claim in her book.

In Bennett’s upcoming book “Free, Melania: The Unauthorized Biography” that is set for release on Tuesday, the writer claimed that the first lady has suspected Donald Trump’s longtime ally and adviser as the person behind the release of her nude photos from her modeling past.

Questions had been raised previously whether Donald Trump himself or his allies had engineered the leaks. Trump had pointed out to the New York Post at the time of the leak that the photos were shot before his coming to know Melania.

“Melania has not commented on how she thinks they got into the hands of the tabloid and on to the cover, but friends say she still refuses to believe Trump would do that to her. As for Stone, she’s not so sure,” Bennett wrote.

Stone denied Bennett’s claim to the Guardian. The White House also criticized the claims in the book. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham responded about the issue saying that they were disappointed with Bennett’s work.

“Mrs Trump is surprised at Kate Bennett’s reporting. Our office worked with Kate in good faith on her book, and thought she would do an honest job. Sadly, it includes many false details and opinions, showing Ms Bennett spoke to many anonymous people who don’t know the first lady,” Grisham said.

“It continues to be disappointing when people, especially journalists, write books with false information just to profit off the first family.”

Stone’s wife, Nydia, also sent a text to the publication and even requested it to be printed in full. In her statement, Nydia said that Bennett’s assertion is “categorically false and completely illogical.” She added that she and Stone have known Melania since she began dating Donald and they adore her. For them, Melania is doing a phenomenal job as first lady.

Melania considered her modeling career before she became FLOTUS “very successful.” She did not deny that she posed for the infamous British GQ cover in the nude in 2000 and even acknowledged her past career. She was also aware that “people will always judge” her based on her past.

Melania did not have it easy at the start. She came from humble beginnings before she was discovered by a photographer and became a model. At present, many consider her the “first lady of all time.
