Melania Trump was praised for handling boos with grace and winning the jeering crowd.

On Tuesday, the U.S. first lady spoke at the B’More Youth Summit in Baltimore to show the children the dangers of opioid abuse. It was part of her “Be Best“ campaign. Unfortunately, the crowd booed when Mark Whalberg introduced Melania. The jeering crowd continued even when she began to speak on stage.

However, according to Washington Post, Donald Trump’s wife handled the booing crowd well. She did not acknowledge the reaction and carried on with her speech. She even thanked them after her remarks.

“She kept going, and she kept a straight face, and she kept talking. She didn’t stop one time. It was a brave act, very brave,” Danielle Whitmore said about Melania, adding that the FLOTUS “can make her own light instead of being dimmed by him.“

By the end of Melania’s speech, all the adults reportedly agreed and the kids were booing less. According to Whitmore, they listened and even clapped.

The event’s emcee, Levardis Lil Black McLaughlin, also acknowledged Melania’s effort. He pointed out that the first lady came for the cause and did what she was supposed to do.

“I saw a woman onstage giving her heart about what’s going on. I think people could separate the politics from what she’s actually trying to do as a human,” he said.

Meanwhile, some netizens on Twitter were also very impressed with how Melania handled the situation. One wrote, “FLOTUS is cool Baitmore aint.”

“She’s a class act and everyone is jealous of her! She’s awesome she’s probably the most classiest woman we ever had as Flotus,” another user commented.

Melania has gained more critics and supporters over the years. Despite the backlash she receives lately, many are convinced that she is the best first lady that the United States has.

“#1 First Lady of all Time! Never to be had again!” one commented on her video on Twitter.
