Melania Trump is usually criticized for her fashion choices and campaigns that, allegedly, do not match the actions of her husband, President Donald Trump. On Tuesday, the FLOTUS hit headlines again when she attended Queen Elizabeth’s palace reception.

The first couple was spotted again inside the Buckingham Palace for a NATO 70th anniversary reception. Melania and Donald visited Queen Elizabeth’s home in June, alongside Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. This time around, however, none of the Trump kids were part of Melania and Donald’s entourage.

Besides meeting Queen Elizabeth, Melania Trump and President Donald Trump also spent time with Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, Camille Parker-Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. Deputy Master of the Household LT. Col Anthony Charles Richards welcomed the couple at the monarch’s London residence and administrative headquarters.

Melania was quick to share the iconic event on social media. The FLOTUS even posted snaps of herself alongside the senior British royals. “Thank you to Her Majesty the Queen for her gracious hospitality while hosting us at Buckingham Palace last night. @NATO” Melania wrote on Twitter.

Netizens, then, shared their thoughts about Melania Trump’s ensemble during the reception. Avid supporters of the FLOTUS praised her fashion choice at the time. “You are the epitome of beauty, class and grace. America is proud of you,” Toni Allison commented.

“LOVE your dress!! You look gorgeous,” Amy Cobb said. “You look stunning! Our best First Lady! God Bless you and God Save the Queen," Amir Khan stated. “Our First Lady is beautiful. Just beautiful. Love what she is doing with grace and charm and dignity. Just a treasure,” Roni Gean shared.

However, others criticized Melania Trump’s choice of clothing at the time. “Is it a cape? Is it a coat? Is it a tablecloth? She’s as much of an embarrassment as he is,” one Twitter user said. “You look like a dope. A miscolored road cone,” Larry Lamb commented. “She looks like a monstrous monk,” Patricia Fonda stated. Melania has yet to comment on these harsh remarks.

After gracing Queen Elizabeth’s reception, Melania Trump and President Donald Trump headed to another reception hosted by U.K.’s prime minister Boris Johnson. The couple is scheduled to fly back to the U.S. on Thursday.
