A new report claims that Kristen Stewart, who is caught up in scandal lately after word broke that she was cheating on her beau and "Twilight" co-star Robert Pattinson with "Snow White" director Rupert Sanders, could just be a serial heartbreaker.

According to OMG! Yahoo, Stewart broke the heart of actor Michael Angarano, whom she was previously dating for four years, to be with Robert Pattinson.

Angarano and Stewart first started dating in 2005 after filming the indie drama "Speak." The young duo, Stewart at 15-years-old and Angarano at 17-years-old, quickly fell in love and dated for some time while they were relatively unknown actors.

However, when Stewart landed the role as Bella Swan in the first "Twilight" movie in 2008, that's when the relationship with Angarano got rocky; Pattinson, who was reportedly hand-picked by Stewart to play the role of Edward Cullen, got in the way.

Yahoo reported that Angarano frequently visited Stewart on the set in Vancouver during the filming of "Twilight." However, during promotion for the first film in the series, media reports indicated that Stewart and Pattinson were living a life of romance off the screen as well as on.

Stewart, though, shrugged off rumors about herself and Pattinson dating in a March 2009 interview with E! News.

"Rob and I are great friends," Stewart told E! Online. "But I understand why you would assume that when we lean on each other for support, there must be something more... And I'm not criticizing anyone for thinking it, either. If anything, they're really perceptive, because they can see a closeness."

E News reported that "Her longtime boyfriend, actor Michael Angarano, isn't fazed by the talk, either. 'We laugh about it,' Stewart says."

According to Yahoo, Angarano continued to visit Stewart during filming thereafter during the second film, "New Moon," despite rumors swirling that she was cheating. Angarano reportedly was seen giving Stewart a piggyback ride at one point in April and holding hands at another while other reports said Stewart was canoodling with Pattinson, even sharing a hotel room.

One month into filming later, though, Angarano and Stewart split out of nowhere. That's when many believe Pattison strolled in as her boyfriend.

Back in February, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke dished on the romances of her cast to Vulture.

Vulture reported:

"When they started the movie, Pattinson was with thirteen star Nikki Reed and Stewart was with Michael Angarano. 'He's a wonderful actor. He was in Dogtown, one of my favorites, so I felt pretty bad because I love him and they were such a great couple,' she says.)"

According to Lainey Gossip, who first reported Stewart's breakup with Angarano in April 2009, Stewart is a bit of a serial heartbreaker.

Lainey Gossip writes:

"For Stewart, the problem is the overlap. And this is common. We probably all know someone who's ready to leave a relationship that's gone stale but doesn't have the courage to do it and acts on an attraction before dealing with what should be properly closed first."

It appears that's exactly what happened to Stewart when she began her affair with Sanders, prompting the starlet to release a public apology.

Stewart's statement released on Wednesday read:

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."

Now, rumors are circulating that Pattinson has moved out of the couple's Los Angeles home after being completed bamboozled by the situation.

"He is in total shock, but Rob is a very, very proud man," a source told Us Weekly. "And Kristen knew how he feels about remaining faithful, loyalty and commitment. He also was horrified that she issued a public apology to him."
