Michelle Obama sent fans into a frenzy after sharing a heartwarming tribute to former U.S. President Barack Obama on Instagram. The ex-First Lady, on Monday, shared a snap of her looking at her husband’s portrait at the National Portrait Gallery. Michelle simply wrote a heart emoji and tagged Barack in the caption.

Netizens were quick to comment on the photo. “How amazing is that to see your husband's portrait on display!!! Love them both! __ ,” Thelma Spencer wrote in the comment section. “I really admire you both, your story should be everyone's story, I'm sure your legacy will live years after we're all gone, I hope it'll resonate generations to come, love you both! ❤ ,” another user stated.

“A beautiful portrait of a good man, whose decency and compassion will forever make him a cut above the rest. ❤ ,” Ayesha Moughel said. “The greatest President to ever live. He and his family are such down to earth, genuinely kind people,” Dylan Castellanos commented. As of press time, Michelle Obama’s photo got a total of 1.3 million likes.

On Sunday, Michelle also shared a photo of her alongside Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is widely known for crafting various successful musicals such as the “Hamilton” and “In The Heights,” on Twitter. At the time, Lin-Manuel was presented with the “Portrait of a Nation Prize” award for his exemplary contributions to America’s history and culture.

“So proud to present the Portrait of a Nation Prize to my good friend, @Lin_Manuel,” Michelle Obama wrote in the caption of the photo. “Love this guy—with his melodies, rhymes, and nonstop energy, he’s painted as honest a portrait of our country as I’ve ever seen, lifting folks up through his work onstage and off,” she went on.

Meanwhile, ABC News shared Michelle Obama reached another milestone recently after she marked the one-year anniversary of her “Becoming” memoir with a book signing in Washington. Some five hundred fans attended the sold-out event. A few fans even revealed they had been camping out outside the Politics and Prose bookstore since 1 p.m. for the book signing event.

A young woman, who is said to be an obesity researcher, told thanked Michelle for being a role model to many people from different walks of life. Michelle Obama was even seen fist-bumping one fan during the event. “Becoming” has sold a total of 11.5 million copies worldwide since its release in Nov. 2018.
