A Michigan woman said she woke up to someone urinating on her when she was asleep on a flight home to Detroit from Las Vegas on Monday. The person was later found to be a well-known pastor from North Carolina.

Alicia Beverly said she was sleeping next to her sister in a backseat of the red-eye flight, which are typically scheduled to depart at night and arrive the next morning, when she felt something warm pouring on her. "It felt warm, like on the side of me I felt something warm," Beverly told WJBK-TV.

She opened her eyes and was astonished to find the pastor standing with his “private area out” as he relieved himself on her. "By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!" Beverly told the station.

Beverly screamed and woke up her fellow passengers in the nighttime flight from their sleep. One off-duty officer, who was also traveling in the flight, took the unidentified pastor in custody. However, Beverly had to sit in damp clothes for several hours until the flight arrived at the Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus, Mich.

The publication reported, citing unspecified sources, that the pastor suffered a reaction from a sleep aid medication. Beverly said the man didn’t say anything and stood next to her the entire time after the incident.

The FBI handles investigations into incidents that occur on airplanes. According to WJBK-TV, the FBI will decide which charges to levy against the pastor.

Beverly told the publication that she was suffering from extreme anxiety in the aftermath of the incident. "I left work yesterday because I couldn’t stay but I had to tell them why I needed to leave. It was a lot. My anxiety was really high literally. Since then I have only gotten 4 hours of sleep," Beverly said.
