A wealthy detective Daisuke Kanbe whose superpower is Infinite Money can buy his way through any problem. “Fugō Keiji Balance: Unlimited” or “The Millionaire Detective - Balance: Unlimitedepisode 2 will air this week as Daisuke and his partner Haru Kato will solve high profile cases.

The anime series is based on a light novel series by Yasutaka Tsutsui. Episode 1 titled “I Came, I Saw, I Sponsored” starts with Daisuke talking about how his childhood was happy. However, one day everything changed and his life became boring.

Meanwhile, Haru is at the Modern Crime Prevention Task Force’s headquarters and he bumps into Ryo Hoshino with other officers. Haru asks him if anything is going on, but he denies any activity.

Later, Haru gets a call from the Security Department regarding the shortage of manpower at the car festival in Ginza. Haru meets the department’s head, Yukihiro Kiyomizu and he is asked to provide backup along with Shinnosuke.

Elsewhere, Daisuke is on a luxurious plane to Japan. Haru and Shinnosuke are on their way to the car festival and Shinnosuke comments on his earlier position as a Division 1 member.

The duo arrives at the festival and Shinnosuke tells Haru that the crowd has gathered because of the arrival of Prince of Aruba Emirates.

They meet Ryo and asks him about the case they are working on, but Ryo tells them that they should mind their business.

During the episode, they learn that a suspected bomber had been located and the man is arrested. However, they are informed that the bomb is in a van.

Meanwhile, two civilians - Hiroshi and his girlfriend Yoko decide to rob a local jewelry store. After robbing a store, they take off in the suspected bomber's van.

The second half of the installment shows how Daisuke and Haro solve the case. Interestingly, Daisuke uses the power of his wealth to solve the case. From buying the prince's car to compensating for all the damages, Daisuke lived up to the title of the episode.

“The Millionaire Detective - Balance: Unlimited” is scheduled to air on Thursday, (April 16) at 12.55 p.m. Eastern Time. The anime can be viewed online via live streaming on Funimation in the U.S. and Canada, the U.K. and Ireland. Currently, the episodes are available in Japanese with English subtitles.
