Mindy Kaling will soon be a mom!

The “Mindy Project” star is pregnant with her first child, multiple sources confirmed to E! News. The insider revealed that Kaling’s pregnancy was “an unexpected surprise.” However, her condition will not affect the production schedules of her projects. However, the identity of the father of the actress’ child has not yet been revealed.

According to the publication, Kaling, 38, is eager to be a mom. In an interview with Yahoo! Style, the “A Wrinkle in Time” actress hinted at her interest in motherhood. “I think I’ve decided that unlike everything else in my life, I’m going to be fast and loose about kids. I’m going to not actively plan, but if it happens, it would happen,” she said, adding that she hoped to have children “imminently.”

The “Inside Out” star also explained that she was not cavalier when it came to the man she would have kids with. She also asked the parents she admired about the experience of raising children, and she only got one comment: all of them wish they had kids earlier.

While Kaling is interested in having kids, she’s not as excited when it comes to marriage. The actress revealed that she has passed the age she dreamed of walking down the aisle. “In my 20s, and especially in my teens, I completely fetishized a wedding. But I think much less about marriage now. It’s less interesting to me,” the “Ocean’s Eight” star explained.

Kaling used to date her “Office” co-star B.J. Novak from 2005 to 2007. She was then in a relationship with Benjamin Nugent from 2008 to 2012, as per E! News.

Currently, she wears a band on her ring finger, but it remains a mystery whether or not this is an engagement ring. There are also no reports as to the identity of the person she is seeing at the moment, according to Daily Mail. Last April, the actress agreed to go on a date with Senator Cory Booker as they exchanged flirty tweets. However, following their night out, there were no updates about their relationship, specifically whether they continued seeing each other.
