After disappearing on Dec. 12, police began an investigation into the whereabouts of Heidi Broussard and her newborn daughter, Margot Carey. After an eight-day search effort, the Texas mom's body was recovered in the trunk of a car at a Harris County home and a newborn baby girl was also found seemingly unharmed inside the residence. Shortly thereafter, Broussard's long-time friend, Magen Fieramusca, was arrested in connection with her disappearance.

Now, a friend of Fieramusca is speaking out about the relationship she believed once existed between the two.

According to KHOU-11, Kristina Sellers, who was a roommate at a church camp the three once attended, recently revealed new details about Fieramusca's past. Sellers, who had stayed in the same dorm as as the other two, said that at the time, the pair had been very close.

"Magen really looked out for me at camp, they clicked instantly. I believe they were about 11 years old," she told the outlet.

However, even though Fieramusca and Broussard continued to stay in touch after leaving the camp, Sellers said she eventually lost contact as "times got older" and she grew up. She also recalled that both women had been "very attentive" to her in their youth as she had been the youngest girl in the dorm.

Upon hearing the news, Sellers expressed disbelief at the entire situation. "I'm pretty shocked and pretty blown away. I just don't understand," she said. After wondering what would "drive" someone to that point, she said she was praying for both families as she saw it as a "double tragedy."

As for what led up to Fieramusca's arrest, according to Fox News, Caressa Nolte, a friend of Broussard's, had unknowingly revealed details that led to her during a live podcast on Dec. 19. As details about the case were coming in, Nolte was being interviewed on "Jay for Justice," a crime podcast. During that episode, the host had informed the guest that a baby registry belonging to Fieramusca and Christopher Green had been connected to the suspect.

"Oh my God. What?" she asked, adding, "That's Magen, her best friend. She met her at church camp with me."

Later, Nolte said that she witnessed Fieramusca had appeared to be "sick" over Broussard's disappearance.

Broussard's fiancé, Shane Carey, had also been interviewed leading to Fieramusca facing charges. On Dec. 13, while at a T-Mobile store attempting to obtain phone records, he called her an "awesome mom."

At this time, Fieramusca has been arrested for kidnapping and tampering with a corpse. ABC 13 reports that DNA results could confirm on Monday whether or not the newborn that was found inside the Houston-area home is, in fact, Margot.
