Rayna (Connie Britton) might have to get a little more personal with the press in “Nashville” Season 3. The country star started the season with not wanting to talk about her engagement at all, but she has since decided to start doing press with Luke (Will Chase) and even merged their tours together. But Luke had warned her that there wouldn’t be any turning back after they let the press in, and Rayna is about to find out that he wasn't kidding.

She’ll be followed by Rolling Stone reporter Brett Raines, played by actor Anthony Ruvivar, E Online reports. The new "Nashville" character won’t just be sitting back and observing, however. He’ll be making Rayna’s “personal and professional lives an absolute living hell.”

Rayna promised Brett an “exclusive” on her new label and her recent album, but the reporter will ask lots of probing questions about her engagement to Luke. Rayna is getting used to that now--but she isn’t used to reporters asking for details about her relationship with Deacon (Charles Esten).

The public knows that Deacon and Rayna have a past. Last season on "Nashville," they had to go on "Good Morning America" and explain why Rayna’s daughter Maddie (Lennon Stella) had posted a video of herself with Deacon's last name. They revealed to the world that Deacon was Maddie’s father, and his alcohol addiction prevented him from being able to care for his daughter at the beginning of her life. However, Deacon and Rayna have never been too open about the details of their relationship.

It sounds like this reporter will be prying into details of Rayna’s past relationships, and he might discover that Deacon and Rayna haven’t been over for that long. While Brett doesn’t have all the details, he’ll know that he has to dig deeper for a massive story, even if it makes Rayna uncomfortable.

“Nashville” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC. Do you think Brett will find out about Deacon’s proposal? Find out in the comments section.
