With many popular sitcoms under its belt, the long-running sketch comedy series “Saturday Night Live” forever on its roster and multiple competition series to its name, NBC is ready to combine all of what it does best for a brand new show called “Bring the Funny.”

Premiering tonight, the reality competition series is looking for the next big comedy star(s), with 40 acts going up against each other for the $250,000 grand prize and the chance to perform at the 2020 Just for Laughs Festival.

There will be four rounds: Open Mic, Comedy Clash, Showcase and the live finale where America will vote for which “Bring the Funny” act they think is the funniest.

Before the new NBC show premieres on Tuesday, get all the Season 1 details, including who will be choosing the winners of each round, who’s competing and who’s emceeing.

Who’s The Host?

Actress and comedian Amanda Seales, who most recently could be seen on HBO’s “Insecure” as Tiffany DuBois, will host NBC’s “Bring the Funny.” She previously hosted truTV’s pop culture program “Greatest Ever” from 2016 to 2017.

Who Are The Judges?

Kenan Thompson, who started off on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “Kenan & Kel” and is now the longest-running cast member of “Saturday Night Live,” will be judging the competition. He’ll do so alongside model, cookbook author, “Lip Sync Battle” commentator and social media influencer Chrissy Teigen and stand-up comedian, author and former “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” host Jeff Foxworthy.
