NCIS
"NCIS" Season 14 premieres on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. CBS

Wedding bells are set to toll in CBS’ long-running procedural, “NCIS.” After Ziva David died and agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop separated from her husband in Season 13, romance is finally in the air on the show. Agent Timothy McGee and his long-time girlfriend Delilah are finally going to settle down.

McGee (Sean Murray) will propose to Delilah (Margo Harshman) in Season 14, TVGuide reports. Furthermore, the website stated that it is extremely likely that the couple will marry before the end of the upcoming season. Will DiNozzo ((Michael Weatherly) pop by for McGee’s big day?

However, McGee has not one but two reasons to be happy. He will be promoted to a senior agent following DiNozzo’s departure from the CBS series. “He has taken over that mantle,” “NCIS” showrunner Gary Glasberg said, “And with that comes tremendous responsibility.”

Moreover, Glasberg spoke to TVLine about the Season 14 premiere in which Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is still looking for DiNozzo’s replacement. “Gibbs has been trying — unsuccessfully! — to find an agent to take over the empty desk [where DiNozzo sat],” he said. When episode 1 airs, fans will learn that he has sent six candidates for Weatherly’s position home.

This results in the arrival of NCIS Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) who is an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. “So she basically shows up and says to Gibbs, ‘What the hell is wrong with you?!’”

The season premiere will also see Gibbs’ team solve a case that involves Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) who has been undercover for a long time. At the end of the episode, the team leader finds himself with not one but two replacements. Additionally, a third agent, MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry), will join the team in episode 5.

It certainly takes an army to replace DiNozzo!
