‘NCIS’
Will Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray) manage to return to their team in “NCIS” Season 15? CBS

“NCIS” Season 15 co-showrunner Frank Cardea recently revealed some information about the hit CBS network.

While speaking with TV Line, Cardea said that episode 1 will pick up right where the finale episode of Season 14 left off. “We pick up where we left everybody off at the end of last season. We flashback about that much, just to remind the audience that these two guys are in jeopardy and the world’s about to come down on them, and then we pick it back in Washington two months later, with Gibbs and McGee still stuck in Paraguay,” he said.

Last season, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and McGee (Sean Murray) went to Paraguay with Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) to help free the stolen children. While doing so, the rebel army arrived on the scene and started firing at the chopper that would transport the stolen children out of Paraguay. Gibbs decided to stay back to hold the rebels off, and at the last minute, McGee, a would-be dad, decided to stay with him.

Meanwhile, Cardea also talked about McGee’s fate in Season 15. According to the co-showrunner, if McGee will make it out alive, he and Delilah (Margo Harshman) will be expecting their baby sometime in October.

In other news, “NCIS” recently experienced multiple cast shakeups ahead of Season 15. After the finale episode for Season 14 aired, Jennifer Esposito decided to leave “NCIS” after one season. Former “NCIS” showrunner Gary Glasberg was the one who came up with the idea of introducing a character named Alex before he passed away. Following her exit from “NCIS,” Esposito released a statement, saying, “It was a great experience. I could not have asked for a better opportunity than to work with the ‘NCIS’ cast and producers.”

Last month, “NCIS” Season 15 cast Maria Bello as Harmon’s Gibbs’ “frenemy.” As of late, Bello’s character’s name is still being kept under wraps. But according to TV Line, the forensic psychologist will be introduced in episode 4 as an agent. “She is a positive force, mischievous and at times acerbic,” the character description read.

“NCIS” Season 15 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. EST.
