"NCIS" Season 18 returns from the Thanksgiving break this week with episode 3. This will be the first episode airing after the milestone 400th segment, titled "Everything Starts Somewhere."

"NCIS" Season 18 Episode 3 is titled "Blood and Treasure" and it features Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Sean Murray as Timothy McGee, Emily Wickersham as Ellie Bishop and Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres. The highly-anticipated segment is probably the last one until Christmas.

The recently released promos promise it to be a rather-fun episode. The NCIS team seems to be enjoying a landmark moment of McGee's career. From the conversation between Bishop and Torres at the crime scene, it appears the agents, along with their boss Gibbs, had a wild night at a bar.

Gibbs seems to have set the pace for others at a drinking game and Bishop naively gave into it. And now, she is dealing with a hangover. Just when she admits having a hangover, Gibbs arrives at the scene looking completely fine.

For the case-of-the-week, the team is investigating the brutal murder of a 32-year-old chief petty officer, who was walking home when he was attacked. The victim suffered several injuries on his abdomen and his "insides are now on the outside."

Meanwhile, Gibbs and Tobias Fornell continue to dig deeper into the opioid drug ring, a case related to Fornell's daughter.

"The discovery of two dead bodies in a forest leads the NCIS team into the wild world of modern-day treasure hunting. Also, Gibbs and Fornell get deeper into their search for the opioid kingpin," reads the official synopsis for the next chapter of the series.

Fornell will go undercover and show up as a server at a burger joint named Toby. This week's episode is expected to feature some big developments in the investigation-of-the-season. Therefore, expect more flashbacks as it all started in the Season 16 finale when Fornell's daughter nearly died due to a drug overdose.

Directed by Diana Valentine and written by Christopher J. Waild, the episode will be broadcasted Tuesday, 8 p.m. ET on CBS. After this, fans can watch "NCIS" Season 18 Episode 3 online on CBS All Access.
