The latest trailer for the next major expansion of "GTA Online" may contain a clue pointing to "GTA 6," according to some fans.

In April 2015, Rockstar Games was rumored to map the entirety of the U.S. for the highly anticipated game "GTA 6." The latest rumor seemingly supports this and claims that the upcoming installment could be based in Virginia, U.S.A. Technically, it is not really a rumor but an observation of eagle-eyed fans who saw the "GTA Online" teaser released by Rockstar Games.

The teaser in question showcases the new location of the game as well as the Cayo Perico Heist. It reveals GPS coordinates, which is a dirt road in Virginia when checked on Google Maps. The image's top view shows a windy road that looks like "VI," which means "six" in the Roman numerals.

According to Kotaku, fans on Twitter and Reddit shared their discovery and are wondering if it is indeed pertaining to "GTA 6." Rockstar Games has not yet issued any statements about these coordinates. In fact, the gaming studio has been mum about anything related to the game.

To this day, Rockstar has not yet confirmed if it is really working on "GTA 6." Despite this, fans are trying to piece together anything that could make sense or related to "GTA 6." In this case, fans should temper their expectations and treat this latest claim with a pinch of salt.

Meanwhile, "GTA 5" is still considered one of the most successful games ever, shipping over 135 million copies worldwide. "GTA Online" has been a huge success as well. It remains to be popular among gamers to this day and it continues to rake in money for Rockstar games through its various microtransactions.

The upcoming Caro Perico Heist in "GTA Online" is set to launch on Dec. 15. It introduces a new area to the game's map which is the location of the heist. The update also includes a unique system where players could play alone or with three others. New weapons and vehicles are also coming to the game.

"GTA 6" is reportedly in the development phase at Rockstar Games, while "GTA Online" is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows.
