Week 4 marks the first time that teams will have a bye in the 2014 NFL season. With six teams not slated to play, including a few of the best teams in football, the upcoming schedule is expected to be largely competitive.

Of the 13 games set to be played in Week 4, only three feature betting lines of more than five points. Among the small point spreads is the “Thursday Night Football” game, in which the visiting New York Giants are 3.5-point underdogs against the Washington Redskins.

The San Diego Chargers are the only double-digit favorites of the week. They are giving the Jacksonville Jaguars 13.5 points. In three games, the Jaguars have yet to lose by less than 17 points.

Three teams enter Week 4 undefeated, and two of them are guaranteed to start Week 5 without a loss. The Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals have a bye week after starting the year at 3-0. The Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Rams are also off.

The three remaining winless teams are underdogs in Week 4. While the Jaguars are the biggest underdogs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are right behind them, getting 7.5 points in Pittsburgh. The Oakland Raiders are only getting 4.5 points, but they are facing a Miami Dolphins team that has lost two straight games by 19 points each.

The New England Patriots join the Dolphins as the only other team to begin the week as a road favorite. It’s the third time this season that Tom Brady and Co. have been favored on the road, and they’ll visit the Kansas City Chiefs on “Monday Night Football.” In Week 2, the Patriots won by 23 points on the road.
