Type North Korea into Twitter and this is the first thing that pops up: “North Korea is crazy."

It’s a post from @UberFacts that has been retweeted more than 25,000 times. While the White House and Pentagon are worried about American’s safety due to a “real and clear danger” that North Korea has presented the U.S. with, tweeters are taking the opportunity to make light of a threat from an enemy.

The second most popular: “Breaking News: North Korea's bomb has just arrived on US soil,” followed by this photo.

North Korea singled out U.S. bases in Guam and Hawaii and even on the West Coast as potential targets, forcing the U.S. to change their defense stance and missile-defense planning.

"Some of the actions they've taken over the last few weeks present a real and clear danger," Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel told an audience at the National Defense University in Washington.

Most officials believe North Korea is years away from having the technology to send a missile armed with a nuclear warhead to the U.S., which explains the following tweet from @DepressedDarth16m:

“Dear North Korea, If you really want to be taken seriously, build a Death Star. Sincerely, The Empire.”
